We’re very excited to be hiring a new member of our Production Team!
Within our production team, all members need to do a bit of everything – whether it’s roasting, packing or fulfilling both wholesale and consumer orders. The role requires accuracy and excellent attention to detail which mirror the perfection we strive for as a company.
To be successful in this position you will need to be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills. Our team is small so there will be a range of tasks you’ll be involved with, and the role is an active one which requires extended periods of standing, has a significant element of repetition, and takes place in our roastery which is a noisy environment.
You will be based at our roasting facility and training centre in Woolwich and work closely with our Head Roaster and the rest of the Production Team.
We roast on a Loring S35 Kestrel and S15 Falcon.
Previous experience roasting is desirable but not necessary (appropriate training will be given on the job), but a keen interest in specialty coffee and a consistently sincere and positive attitude is!
This is a full-time position with hours of 08:00-16:30 Mon-Fri. and offers great coffees on tap, professional development (SCA courses) and a friendly small team to work with.
Key responsibilities: • Packing, labelling and dispatching orders • Helping to set up, clean down and participating in QC and sourcing sessions • Colour tracking coffee • Responding to customer queries • Performing and logging physical analysis of green coffee samples • Sample roasting • Cleaning and maintaining the production area, as part of the Production Team • Providing cleaning support for all roasting equipment • Contributing ideas/suggestions on how we can operate better • Assisting with quarterly stocktakes • Providing support at events and in-house cuppings, helping showcase PLOT’s coffee • Champion the company culture of PLOT through all team and customer relationships • Continuing to pursue professional development opportunities, with PLOT’s support
